Hemsworth said John would play for England years ago. He knew his apples that day.

I thought John looked a very promising talent, he impressed me no end, just wish we'd picked him at centre half rather than Wiseman/McNulty. But I honestly never saw him progressing as he has done, and certainly not so soon.

I see Holgate as very similar.

 

Thought Wiseman had his best spell and did really well for us at centre half under Flicker, as did TK when used on the left of the back 3!! I'd love to be wrong about Holgate, I think he's good and he has been one of the top 3 or 4 players everytime he's played (motm vs Donny) but if I had to guess now then I would say he's not a premiership player, championship/ top league one. Although he looks to me as when he fills out he will make a better centre back than right back, so that could be a big plus for him!!
