I don’t think it is. When you’ve wasted anything up to £20k a week of your budget on players identified by the previous CEO, paid off one shocking appointment and spent money recruit f another, and you’re staring relegation in the face, the budget probably wasn’t there to strengthen the way we wanted. And I doubt we were an appealing club to sign for either.
Another Brittain is gash moment there shiting out of a challenge which resulted in a counter attack that put us under pressure.
As CEO he should have been stretching that budget. He's 99.9% autonomous remember. He should have identified the dead cert that was relegation and the subsequent millions in lost revenue. He should have stretched that budget to do everything that could be done to stop it happening and frankly he didn't. I think fat lad is the most culpable by a country mile but Khaled has to share the blame for his pathetic January too
We’ve been poor, although getting in to it a bit more the last ten minutes. But let’s be honest, this is a team that has aspirations for going to the Premier League. They haven’t laid a glove on us other than the scrappy mess of a goal. We’re pretty much handing them the right hand side of the pitch as well. Take the scrappy goal away and it’s just two poor teams playing at a snail’s pace.
How can he stretch a budget wasted by his predecessor, who is also the Chairman and an owner? I’d like to stretch my own personal budget sometimes and buy things beyond my reach. Isn’t happening though because I’m not a magician. Ducking out here anyway. I’m this is a match day thread.
The standard of the league this year is even worse than last. Worst it's been for while. Which says a lot about how sh*t we must be.
