    Exactly mate ....... its ****** .........

..... and those figures say it all, same bleeding police force as well, that's what gets me, it's bad enough when they move our games at Chesterfield and Leeds but I understand thats (possibly) out of the control of SY Police.

It's time they went public and fooking explained it cos on the face of it, they are just fooking abart wi our games for no good reason

    fOR FECKS SAKE.
The game is on Bank Holiday Monday. Nobody is working.
You want to watch the game at night on a 7.45 kick off or have an early kick off and get some beer down the neck in the evening?

    Your choice!

    Yes........

lets worry about more important things such has why the Barnsley Chronicle on about the promotion bash mentions "Steve" Jones is comfirmed when I thought it was "Scott" Jones that played for us in the premiership. Mind you Steve Jones wasn't a bad lower league defender for Wycombe. If it had been a Saturday it would have been different but not point worrying about it on a bank holiday.

Ive asked this to be raised it with the club. It's a bugger when this happens and you happen to live 200 miles away so book up cheap train tickets 6 weeks in advance and then they change the kick off 2 weeks before hand.

    it makes no sense

Are the police saying that they become incompetent as soon as they cross the border from sheffield?

Judging by the video on the bbc, they aren't too competent over there either.

    THE REASON IS THIS....

BFC meet with the Police at the start of the season and grade each game on a level... Catogary A,B, or C depending on the size of the anticipated crowd.

Birmingham will have been the same as Sunderland.

I've been told Brum will sell the same allocation as Sunderland therefore rather than allocate more Police (which would cost the club more money) they move the Kick off.

BFC will have been told, either pay for more Police or move the Kick Off, the fact that Brum are top of the league would strengthen the Police's case.

The Sheffield teams can afford to pay for more Police so thats why their games arn't moved.

IMHO the SYP contribute little anyway.

    But that makes no sense

If that was the case then the decision should have been made months ago, not just a couple of weeks before the match and if it's to do with money then somebody needs sacking because I think the thousands of empty seats against sunderland shows how much we lose in gate reciepts from moving the kick off time forward.

Plus nobody has ever given an explanation as to how kicking off at 1pm is safer than 3pm. Do hooligans stay in bed till half 2?

And why do the police completly misjudge the level of policing required on a constant basis? I'm fed up of thinking that i'm walking through a prison at oakwell. Surely that many officers aren't needed.

Changed our k.o. against Mackems when we were the only South Yorkshire team playing at home that day.

RE: But that makes no sense

Not so i'm afraid.. If Sunderland had been in mid table or the lower end they would have only brought 3 to 4K so the kick off would not have been moved...

    Its simple dynamics...

The kick off is simply moved so that away fans mainly can't get into the Boozer!!!

Sunderland fans were not allowed drink on any of the 80 coaches they brought and therefore only got 1 hour max in the pub before the game... and the club didn't open, the bar in the North Stand as they normally do for obvious reasons...

Don't necessarily agree with it, same as most others but thats the reasoning...
