But Birmingham have been at the top of the table all season

Even if you accept the argument that moving the KO to 1:30 makes the match safer (which I am not convinced by) there is no valid excuse for moving it at such short notice a sizable minority of fans make travel plans more than 3 weeks ahead - especially for a game at Easter.

How did we manage in the Prem season when we had a full ground and full away end for most matches?

    still makes no sense

by moving the games all that the police do is force the away fans into the pubs after the game. Great idea that is, especially if they've had a decision go against them during the game.

Lets face it, if 2,000 away fans get drunk then the police would not be able to deal with it so 7,000 makes no difference really.

Maybe its about time that the police started to treat football fans as human beings and show some respect and trust and maybe actually started doing their job for once.

The last time I checked it was illegal to drink on ANY coach so the excuse that sunderland werent allowed to do it is like saying that we have now banned anyone over the age of 70 from speeding in case they crash.

if cinderella man is correct then it's because birmingham and sunderland weren't big teams last week

but now suddenly are so they've panicked and realised that it needs more overyime erm sorry police to sit around on police horses that are shitting everywhere. That's the best way to stop people from running onto the pitch apparently, as shown against sunderland.

    The rows of empty seats...

had nothing to do with the early kick off. The more difficult you make it for the casual fan to attend a game, the lower the crowd. All ticket always impacts on attendances as people don't want to make 2 trips to watch a game of football. If they were that committed they'd be coming every week. Restricting sales to those on the box office database didn't help either.

I prefer 3pm kick offs as well

...but I can't see how 1.30pm as opposed to 3pm would make a difference as to whether someone would or would not go to the match. 11am or 12 maybe.
