RE: Tell me why you think Messi is even close to being as good as Ronaldo nt

hes got pace a trick or two a wicked shot, precision passing, tight dribbling hes a team player as awell also he isnt a choker like C.Ronaldo

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HH5y2MLFYQ

look at the way he played through Celtic they couldnt cope with him.... and before you say yeah but thats celtic

yeah ronaldo has got 20+ goals playing against mediocre players week in week out so thats hardly a stretch for him i think

    playing against mediocre players ???

I am not bought into the hype about the premier league as you say, but there is a reason we have 4 of the CL q-finalists ad its not cos they are **** or its fixed.

the quality of the EPL top to bottom (maybe excluding Derby) is up there with any league in the world. there is some **** teams in Spain and Italy too

RE: playing against mediocre players ???

The majority of the Spanish and Italian teams do actually have the respective nationalities in there teams
    as stated on SSN

Italy Serie A 75% can represent Italy
Span la Liga 65% can represent Spain
France Ligue 1 50% can represent France
Germany Da Bundesliga 45% can represent Germany
England EPL 35% can represent England

just over a quater playing in england are english and can represent there country.
what does this tell you? there are hardly any English players playing for the big 4 and the english success this year is based on foreign effort and expenditure

    I completly agree

thats not the arguement though. that doesnt impact the quality of the premier league. If anything it makes its better

I would love to see a lot more english players in the premiership

Why is Ronaldo playing against Mediocre players?

    Another point......

If the EPL is the greatest i the world why during Calciopolli did all the stars go to La Liga not The EPL??

    Cannavaro,Zambrotta,Thuram,Ibrahimovic (Inter),Emerson,Vieira(Inter)

Why did all those players decide to stay in Italy or move to La liga instead of moving to England Vieira been the exception

and dont say Serie A is poor as we won a World cup out of Players that all play in Italy :)

I am assuming you are an Inter fan

So is a friend of mine. Hence why you are claiming poor players as being stars

Zlatan is a very average player. I live in Sweden so here about him every day and have seen him a lot

What did you make of the Rome derby last night? Was avery good game the bits i saw

The premier league is only 'world class entertainment' due to the number of foreign players keeping it afloat. ENglish top flight players are too over hyped and full of their own self importance to be any good.

RE: And you never answered what makes Serie A and la liga better than the premier league? nt

    Well my Bread and Butter

    Serie A

Serie A is open to almost 50% of the teams to win the Scudetto (the italian crest worn on the shirt) these range from Inter all the way through to Fiorentina
Many people find Serie A Boring as its too defensive well yes i can see that but players of the highest technical ability dont seem to find this a problem, Italians rather go for the killer pass and split the defence rather than an all ou assault like the EPL teams do, one thing that attracts EPL viewers is the names
Rooney, lampard,C.Ronaldo,Gerrard etc now i believe this theory and that is if you have playes that are well disiplined and organized like the italains are known for you can beat anybody take Everton and Fiorentina the other week Everton battred Fiorentina's 2-0 lead and got there deserved 2 goals but Fiorentina didnt crumble they held on and stuck to there plan and took them to penalties. the CL final last year Milan vs Liverpool yes Liverpool bossed that game for periods but look Mlan had about 4 attacks and 2 goals they didnt resort to shooting form distance like Riise,Gerrard and Alonso did which basically gave possesion away. yes Serie A isnt as heavily marketed as the EPL also the tax rates in Italy cant compete with the english teams in terms of transfers fees but if you took all the superstars out of Serie A and out of EPL i believe the Italian teams would win because the players are of a higher ability, look at players such as John O'Shea and Darren Fletcher and Wes Brown can you honestly say they desere to play for Man U compared with the other players they have? Abu Diaby that plays for Arsenal you watch on MOTD hes all right footed! and he plays for ARSENAL! the current league leaders.
at least the likes Of Francesco Tavano and Ricardo Montolivo have both feet at there disposal........
Can you honestly see why Chelsea bought Sidwell? there are too many average players earning bib bucks in the EPL which you would never have in Italy Totti was on estimated 80,000 euros a week take that to Darren Fletcher who turned down £40,000 a week!! there is a much greater squad depth in Serie A i believe

You still have the upsets in Serie A such as Empoli taking 3 points of both Milan and Roma and a point off Inter Little Empoli the town with a population of about 50,000, now in the EPL its a four horse race for the title and a mini league of 16 fighting for the highest spot, i feel the EPL is heavily marketed and has no substance compared with Serie A.

    La Liga

now if im honest i dont watch much la liga but from what i have seen there is a much greater squad depth again than the EPL Titus Bramble wouldnt last a minute in Spain although the nations are as equally dissapointing for different reasons...Spain is as open as England although id say The emphasis is more on attacking than defending in spain where as its similar in england only the scorelines are not as high you dont get the likes of Derby takin 3 points of the big 4 do you?
Take Getafe that took 3 points of Barca and Real Madrid home and away you wouldnt dream of that in the EPL the games seem to predictable before the first whistle

Why did England hire an Italian as there coach?
    why not choose Mourinho?

These are just my opinions but i cannot see the intrest in the EPL
