To be honest I think half the people attending home matches go there to piss away their miserable Saturday afternoons instead of giving the wife another beating and supping more stale flat beer.

Some of the proudest days of my life were playing for the Intermediates (what you'll probably know as the top year in the Academy) back when I wasn't a beer monster, and pulling on that reds shirt. Get a life and an education hmmm, if only you knew what you were talking about. As for using the word Nonce, I think you'll find it in the dictionary, probably next to a picture of you. You'll no doubt need to borrow a dictionary, and I doubt any of your mates has one, so try your old school, if you ever went that is.

Much as I thought this thread might develop into an interesting philosophical argument with my learned friend, it's proved otherwise, so I'll leave him to shout at the wind. He's scared me off anyway with his talk of hard knocks (of course in this day and age he won't even know the meaning of this) and inability to spell without reverting to text-speak.
