    I've tried to . But I just don't see what Kev sees in it , or why he likes it so much . He's read the thing about a dozen times . (dunno)

    Yup. Read it many times.

    It's a poem - but it has many other meanings.
    There are deep rooted political themes throughout.

    Personally I don't think it's up to much.
    Far too repetitive & a bit bland.

    Prefered the Odyssey.

    I wouldn't know much though as I'm "such an idiot".

    The version Kev has

    Is not done in the original , epic poem style . It's done along the lines of a novel , translated by E.V. Rieu . He also has The Odyssey , again by E.V. Rieu , but prefers The Iliad .

    Got the Rieu one too.

    I find it quite dry.

    Just like ... nope ... I daren't say anymore.
