Yeah if Barnsley can afford it im sure they would try to make things even more difficult. I think he's just gonna put it all behind him and concentrate on the future
RE: But Mav
How can he be sued?
The Club can't prevent anyone telling the truth.
We had this this kind of talk before when other players left the Club. Kay and Tong were going to spill the beans and we never had a word out of them.

Does that mean therefore that: a) He/his agent didn't say in the summer that he wont consider a contract? b) He was happy to play at BFC this season?
As part of the deal He will have been made to sign a confidentiality agreement. Standard practice. Do they not teach you that on your coaching courses?
a) He wasnt offered a contract till AFTER the summer. They were holding out for the paper talk of millions. So naive. Whos gonna pay millions for someone in the last year of the contract. When it didnt materialise they panicked, offered brian an average contract then made him out to be an arse when he held out for the contract he deserved b) If he was offered the contract he deserved and felt wanted, he would most definately have stayed. Unless a prem club came in obviously
RE: Would it apply if lies were publically told about him? I would imagine he's agreed to let Barnsley say what they like in order to get the move. Look, I've no idea if Brian Howard's story is different to the one the club has given out and I'm not even suggesting the statement on the official site is wrong, I'm just telling you that he will have signed a confidentiality agreement and you won't get to hear Brian Howard's side of the story.
I'm not convinced at all and if blatant lies are published about him then I doubt any confidentiality agreement, should one exist, wouldn't be worth the paper it was written on.
RE: As part of the deal
**** off there is no way he can be force to sign a confidentiallity agreement unless he is being paid ££££££££££££ to do so.

You know what...that is exactly what I had suspected, but obviously the situation has escalated. He was obviously unhappy, which has affected his performances which in turn has affected the whole team (such the influence he has) and I guess he then felt he had to stress that he would no longer consider a new contract...even if it was to be the highest offer at the club?
Isn't that what Jay is trying to say? Part of the deal is for Bri to keep his gob shut. That deal is paying him £££££££££
If I were you Maverick I would back that up with evidence or delete that post.
Are you are saying the Club threatens players who leave?
I hope you will be prepared to stand up in Court and say that.

RE: I'm not convinced at all You must concede that you don't have to tell blatant lies in order to give a distorted version of the truth. Omissions allow a very different picture to emerge. For example, an employee of mine could leave my company suggesting that conditions were intolerable. I could then release a statement saying that I had recently offered to quadruple his wages, so I don't where the man is coming from. What I have failed to disclose is that I've been dry loving him against his will for the past 6 months, something that would give an entirely different picture had I mentioned this in my statement. Not that I'm suggesting for a minute that such practices occur down at Oakwell.
