Yeah shonie, your not far from the truth. He was already unhappy then and a club offered him double his wages and hopefully a chance to be happy playing football again. Shame it has all ended up like this
Yeah it really is mate, because he has been such a fantastic player for us (and anyone disagrees with that want shooting), and its all now ended sour for all parties. Him cos fans now slagging him, club cos fans now slagging them, and us cos we have lost one of the best players we've seen in a tarn shirt for what, 5 years? Gutted that its come to this, and so many others would have been IF he'd have had 10 good games for us this season. Neither party blameless I think.
You think they are going to take me to court for saying that? lol! I'm entitled to my opinion just as everyone here is. The statement was a dig at Brian and if you cant see that....Why couldnt they just say Brian has gone thanks for the service?

Hold on a minute, you have accused the Club of threatening players who leave.
It isn't me you should be worried about it's the reaction from the Club.
Personally I think you are a bullshitter.

Because the fans are already disgruntled at the poor performance and results so they didn't want to add to that by allowing the fans to believe that it was the club's fault the hero went?

RE: I'm not convinced at all I draft them for a living mate, and trust me, they are worth the paper they're written on and he will have signed one.
Yeah, me too, but not 100%. The majority of people that wish him well wont actually say it too loudly tho.
its standard practice. the public announcement clause ie our statement will have been part of the deal. its called a Compromise Agreement.
I've never asked cos i never wanted to be in that brigade He's a big headed lovely person who thinks he's bigger than want he is. Just like the club he has gone to Good riddance i say
RE: its standard practice. the public announcement clause
If you really really believe that why do so many players slag their previous Clubs off.

Yeah I have been asked that a few times....sorry to dissapoint. All due respect, do you not think Brian would have been sorting out his career rathe than sat on this al day?
because they haven't signed Compromise Agreements in this circumstance, where both parties are in a bargaining position and reputations are at stake, then there will be a Compromise Agreement drawn up by the solicitors. I'm not here to argue with you mate, I am simply informing you that, when such parting of the ways happen and there is a public interest then a solicitor, in an effort to protect their client's reputation, will insist on public announcement clauses, confidentiality agreements and agreed references (not that the last one applies to Brian). Trust me, there will have been a deal.
Tha knows what Shonie, you do talk some sense mate when your sober. Some things you said made me think. But i know you and you're always right so i agree with you with all!! Nah, my point is. Howard wanted to leave. End of. Now he's gone there is **** all we can do now He's a Blunt and i will treat him the same as any other Blunt regardless of what he has done for us in the past The club cannot lie with the statement regardless of any confidentiality agreement crap
