    Thatcher on balance.

Scargill was good defensively but gave you no attacking options at all, too slow and no ability to get a ball in.

Thatcher coordinated well with the rest of defence and had a killer right foot.

Thatcher- high press and counter at pace
Scargill - possession based, weak without the ball

Flying pickets were good at outlflanking the cops.
Van load o pickets on route to Notts.
Cops stopped em so they all hide under tarpaulin in the back of the van.
Cops ," now then lads where ya going at this early hours of the morning "
Driver says " were going to dig my grandma's garden over"
Police officer opens back at van and 10 pickets all chucking as he pulled tarpaulin off em.
    " it's a f×=king big garden then lads"

I could go on all day Baz. We generally took the back wacks, (I could read maps lol) and reached our destination nearly every time. I can only think of twice we didn't. When Selby was ground to a halt. And the other we broke down. Some brilliant stories though on the rare occasion we were stopped and let through lol.
