    Next week he and his team will be playing for promotion to the 3rd league. One thing is already certain: Daniel Stendel will continue to coach Hannover 96's U23s in the future. The expiring contract with the 50-year-old football teacher will be extended for another three years until June 30, 2027.

    Daniel Stendel: "I am very satisfied with the past two years. I enjoy coming to the academy every day and am pleased that the collaboration will continue. I still have a great desire to help shape the development of the academy."

    So the individuals who claimed he was absolutely definitely going to be named as manager were talking absolute ballocks then. Who'd have thought it.

    Just need Hourihane to sign for Wrexham or someone now and that'll be another string to the talking shìte bow for the in-the-knowers

    The play-offs are done and dusted so why the delay? The lack of rumours suggest to me that it might be outside the UK so reporters aren't getting info from their usual sources and agents aren't bigging up their clients.
