I think he still as my respect as a good manager, he kept us in this league, he as brought the players in who most wanted. The Board think he is the right man and have backed him to the hilt. Changing Managers will not be the proper solution, changing the captain of the club will.

Bring Kosluk back into the team and give him the armband, his experience in the premiership will be of massive importance at this particular time. Let Howard consentrate on what he does best, scoring goals and not fighting with his team mates and giving them needless bollockings for mainley his own mistakes. Yes i still back Simon Davey. The decision not to play Kozluk, is Davey's. The decision to make Howard Captain, was Davey's. The decision to buy Christensen and not play him is Davey's and you still think he is a good manager?

While ever he is a manager of a team i support i will back him. I'm not saying that he his perfect. He makes mistakes like the rest of us, but as long as he keeps us in this division he will get my support.

I would like to see Christensen given a chance, i would like to see Kosluk in the side, and i do think that Howard is a poor captain. But these decisions rest with the manager and not the fans. No doubt if we do get relegated then we will be shouting for his head. But in the mean time i'll support him. :)

    Good Manager.......................

Iv'e been watching the reds for over 40 years and in my opinion. No, I won't say opinion I will say it is a fact that Davey is a good manager.

The managers job today is much more difficult than it was back in the 50's when I first started to watch the reds. Players are harder to bribe now because they are paid so much.

Managers also need to be better educated than they were in the past. You can't just say to a player who asks why you are doing something in training that " it was good enough for *********** then its good enough for me".

Davey took the job on when we were heading back to the League One knackers yard and in the end managed to pull us back from the abyss.

He deserves far better treatment from the ill educated rabble who have never kicked a ball above Sunday League level who wait in the shadows to attack him at the first opportunity.

He's a good manager full stop but that doesn't mean he will be a successful manager. Very few of the 92 managers will be successful but that doesn't mean that the rest of them are poor managers.

    Yes

And if we had won today, we wouldnt have even had this *****, but again there are to many on here who can't wait to see Davey fail, in fact it's getting pretty boring now seeing the same old knobheads posting week in week out giving negative ****** before a ball has even been fooking kicked.

Why they are fans of Tarn is fooking beyond me.

    Yes.
Time will tell if Davey is one of the winners, he's already said that this seasons target was to be a rebuilding one with amid table finish. Get behind him and Support your team. Some people on here wouldn't be happy if we won every f@@kin game .......

Unfortunately I dont get to every home game so can only base my opinions on a handful of games, internet commentary and what i read on here. Again unfortunately there is nothing that polarisise opinion more than a football match or the merits of individuals performances. One mans super star is anothers damp squib! However according to those who see most games the re-acquisition of three players was going to make a huge difference to the recent poor performances. Davey got those three players plus a replacement for Muller who 95% of posters on here hailed as a great signing plus the return of the prodigal. This is then followed by a very poor performance and now we have this sudden call for the managers head. Ask this question after another four games and then i will give an opinion and most posters on this thread will probably change their mind aswell.

    RE: Good Manager.......................

A good Manager is a successful Manager in Footballing Terms. But in personality and kindness and loyalty and good living he may be a 'good Manager' thats why there are a host of so called 'good Managers' not in work. Most of them are nice people who can be respected but won't get a job. Thats the harsh reality of the state of todays football. there is not much room for sentiment.

squarely on the fence but trying to lean towards possibly

tactically naive, clearly strong willed (or bloody minded) but appears dogmatic, questionable motivation technique and tendency towards favouritism
