Season ticket sales etc may have increased, yes. Fair point. But if we made just a £2m profit last year, despite £4.5m in fees, and a £1m cup run, then this year we're at least £2m or £3m in debt. Surely?
However, the £1.7m owed to us is clearly the other half of the Stones money. I forgot they only gave us half up front. So that helps this years accounts.
That's not generally how it works. The full amount will be recognised in this years financial statements, which is most likely why the debtors have increased significantly. I'm not sure how we recognise the potential increase in transfer value if there are any clauses in the transfer, such as international appearances, as the accounts don't seem to specify, so it could be that some of the transfer fee is not yet recognised, but I'd imagine any agreed non-dependant fee, regardless of over how many months it is, will be recognised in these accounts.
The average number of employees in relation to footballing activities increased by 16 people, so I'd imagine that's where most of the increase has gone.
That would be my understanding. We recognise the revenue in the current accounts but the cash flow is as and when the debtor pays.
Just hope we had the sense to put some decent clauses in there for international appearances at the very least.
Hey, it proves I don't always get told the truth/facts. I was informed with great certainty at the time that it was £1.5m up front and a further £1.5m in installments.
Didn't know that about the Stones transfer money. Got properly raped there didn't we. Kinell. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
