Yes, so do most people

Who are the worst? Wine critics or real ale drinkers, got to be real ale drinkers cos they sport leather patches on their elbows.

I'm sure they sell more Foster/Carlsberg/Stella than they do real ale

    Aye because

its cheap, easy to make and when its freezing cold it tastes of nothing.

Given the choice most people would not suffer such pish but since most pubs are run / owned by breweries we get what they sell.

    Yes they no doubt do

You are confusing quantity with quality.

    RE: Aye because

Marketing mate....it's marketing, people are led to believe what is "cool"

Oh and they weren't keeping their beer properly so it was a poor pint.

The bottom line for town centre pubs is all about vast profit....if they can throw out some mass produced rubbish that tastes of nothing because it's at freezing point which means they don't have to worry about how it's kept....or they can just take the top off a bottle and charge £3 for the privilage then they will.

    And read my reply

Coronation Street gets more viewers than The West Wing
The Sun gets more readers than The Times

Just because something is the most popular does not mean it's the best in terms of quality - in fact there are numerous examples where the most popular is usually the worst example of the genre because you have to appeal to a wider audience and therefore compromise on the product in widening the appeal.
