Tbh I despise tribute bands. Loads love em, so fair dos. I just think they're terrible. An ex from many years ago, knew I was a huge music, gigs & Beatles fan, so bought us Bootleg Beatles tickets as a surprise. I knew it was a lovely thought, but for me personally she couldn't have got it more wrong. Lovely gesture, but sadly she was an ex very shortly after that :)

Me too usually, but the Bootleg Beatles are a different gravy. Plus my chances of seeing the original incarnation are slightly limited! Having said that, McCartney did an outdoor gig in the centre of St Petersburg in 2004, which I sat and listened to from my open kitchen window!

I saw them about 25 years ago in Harrogate, Can't be the same line up. They were brilliant then, but crowd was flat. It was Harrogate though. Terrible venue too. Anyone who can do justice to the Beatles back catalogue is clever, but no one can do it like the Fall. RIP Mark E Smith.

And they'd been going sometime then; I'm sure they played at Teesside Poly in the late 70's early 80's.
