    Not too sure about the idea that roads will only be closed a few minutes before the cyclists arrive

    We have had a couple of cycle races in Surrey recently ( Olympics for one but also some domestic races like the Tour of Britain) and for these the roads have been closed well before the arrival - but the exact times have always been availlable well in advance on the gosurrey website and signage on the affected roads

    I cant see how this Cycle race going through Barnsley at the same time as crowds arriving for a football match is going to all pass with no problems for anyone

    Fortunately I wont be there to get caught in any chaos

    It will be managed by South Yorkshire Police (rather than BMBC).

    It does appear that Old Mill Lane and Harborough Hill will be open prior to the match kicking off.
