Working on that premise then.....why do we have a 23,000 capacity stadium? How often have we needed all that? And why would an internet booking system only be needed twice a season? could be used for selling season tickets, some people would use it often for booking match tickets instead of having to go to the ticket office....you know, that one that is open 9-5 so not very helpful for people who don't work in town.
I told me gaffer I'ld be in after 10 "early then?" he says. Seriously though I just said I'ld be in late and he said fine. Not always possible even with the luxury of a flexible employer. I hope (though it may piss a lot off) that at least 1 block of each ticket type has been reserved for sale on Fri/Sun so that folks who could not make it today at least have a chance of the "better" seats.
get ready if/when we beat cardiff!! it'll be mayhem! early 20k tickets going, instead of 33k and no way will EVERY regular get a ticket. ive come to the conclusion that it a "dog eat dog" buisness where loyalty counts for nowt. choose what, ive got a room booked 5th april 10 mile from ground and i'll be in/at wembley even if it its in a pub round the corner
RE: I'm not having a go at you personally yes. But then again, I couldn't work for a vindictive b.AST-rd that would want to be a cnt about it.
I agree should be ashamed, they've put us in national headlines for over a month now, offered us the chance to watch our town represented at Wembley, knocked 2 of the biggest teams in the world out of the fa cup. Be ashamed barnsley fc, be ashamed.
Yep One of the lead stories on the Sports news on Radio 5 this evening was Luke Steele signing.........usually that wouldn't register. People in the office today (Man Utd, Liverpool fans) talking about the goalkeeping situation at Barnsley!
RE: get ready if/when we beat cardiff!! ive been bitching about been fleeced to r'lass, i.e ticket prices with the kids/oap prices fiacso, new shirt and so on, and i aint got either! she sez it ok to milk the punter for what they can, and maybe she's right, IT IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME oppertunity...hopefully twice mind, and i would sell my 1st 2nd and 3rd born to go to wembley twice in 2 months to watch barnsley. never ever will we have a more realistic chance of ne'mind being in an fa cup final.....but winning the chuffer t'boot!
confusing the issues ? no one is suggesting the exploits of the team in the cup are not outstanding, but surely that doesn't mean the the club can't be criticised for its ticketing arrangements?
