    I can't drink before a big match!

I had one pint before both Liverpool and Chelsea due to nerves.

Thank goodness someone lives in the real world, moaning about attendances, all the fans who are moaning must be fecking loaded. (chinny)

It's not costing me owt like that

    Ticket £25
    Coach £20
    Packed lunch. About £4

I'm all in for less than fifty quid. I'm not rich so I don't spend £20 on other bits and pieces (WTF is that?) and £40 on food and drink for Christ sake. If there's time before the match I may get a beer which will put another £3 or so on the day. What will make the day for me is if Barnsley win and if they do I'll be the happiest bloke on earth. It's not about getting pissed or eating some overpriced food or taking the most expensive form of travel. You don't need to spend half what you've outlined to have a good day.

    Out with 'em

Useless little lumps - more trouble than they are worth. And anyway you can drink faster when they are not there.

And for two people. So really its £135.

For me its £25 ticket, £25 coach, another £30 on food and drink, tube etc (coach going to Stanmore i think). £80. Spend that on a night out. Well worth it.

Spot on mate! Ticket £45, coach £25. Mam and dad are providing sandwiches, me and girlfriend provide drinks and crisps. Total of under £100 after getting a swift pint maybe if time, and maybe some sort of souvenir (a shirt maybe). Nowhere near £270. It will cost not too much more than that for all 4 of us in total.

Drive down Sat evening park up outside and sleep in the car all night. Get up at 3.30am and you should get a parking spot.
