Thanks for that, as a non pc person I'm not surprised I got it wrong. Personally in conversation I would use the word black but I thought that was offensive in this barmy place we now live.

Yeah it's 'coloured' that is considered non PC, and black and white is PC. Doesn't matter to me though.

What exactly does 'Bwana' mean, my mum used to say it in a affectionate manner, but i don't actually know what it means.......

 

no worries mate, as i said, I dislike many aspects of PC unless it's something that threatens a person's rights or safety. I believe in freedom of speech.

Bwana is an African term used to address someone respectfully. The character I was referring to was Alf Garnetts home help, because Alf was a racist character Marigold called him Bwana and bowed down to him as a pi$$ take
