He probably couldn't find Ukraine on a map.

Good grief... He's just said, "Make NATO great again". Jesus wept.

Isn't that one of the half-man/half-bull critters from mythology?

Could well be. Think Hegseth only got the job because of a resemblance to Clark Kent.

Thinking about it Trumps mob look like villains from Batman. Musk is a shoe in for The Joker.

Yeah apologies, it was more in reference to this money hes been given, whether or not he was compromised by it, or if he was just baled out by it. Think I replied to wrong person

But basically wouldn't the investigation into Russian election be able to put forward evidence of anything other than Russian money bailing him out? It doesn't particularly bother me about where the money comes from, because most politicians take them, hence why trump was all up in arms about Bidens taking Ukrainian and Chinese money. What bothers me is if it starts influencing politics

Its fairly obvious now that our politics have been influenced from overseas for at least a decade. Russian and American money and influence (Cambridge Analytica) helped to sway the Brexit vote and the general elections in 15, 17 and 19 and Musk is threatening to put money in to influence the next one. To a lesser extent, both our "friends" and "enemies" have also had a go at influencing our politics - and we've probably tried to influence theirs. This is both on a state level, and groups/individuals pushing their agenda - mainly right wing billionaires and industries that are losing their power (tobacco and oil).

The same forces have been influencing American politics and pushing their agenda in the background for decades - and now they are standing in front telling us they've bought power.

In today’s Daily Trump, his Dark Maga poster boy just gave him $10m by way of apology, for being banned by the woke lefties that used to run Twitter. This is a month after Meta gave him $25 for a similar thing. Remarkable.

He's been gunning for the press with many rightly seeing it as a threat to free speech with papers, websites not wanting to be taken to court, so decide not to publish articles that could cost them big money. Muzzle your opponents in the press.

I'm in a quandary, I can happily boycott Muskolini as I have no need for Starlink and no desire or ability to own a Tesla.
But, guilty pleasure...... I bloody love Elvis Juice.

I wonder if his 'Ratner moment' is borne out in sales info yet.

I think we’ve found out today it does influence politics, saying Ukraine will never join NATO and have to concede land , before negotiations have started just plays into Putins hands . Its the same as our own politicians taking money from hedge funders linked to private health care , watch for more deals given to private health care companies given under the guise of ‘helping the front line ‘

The orange loon has decided every country in the world should face reciprocal tariffs. But not based on tariffs. But taxes and VAT. So effectively any UK goods going into the US will face a tariff of 20%.

    Absolute lunacy.

I’ve just started working with an American bloke. I’ve renamed our daily standup the daily trump, so I can mock his glorious leader daily for 15 minutes. Tbf he’s taking it all in good humour.

I saw that live, and how he bristled and segued when asked if the US would increase its funding of NATO to 5%.

But hey… the great news is Trump thinks he can trust Putin.
