The difference between Barnsley ....... and clubs like Leeds United

    No denying they were a great side. I even went to a few games myself including the 7-0 tonking of Southampton. The OP mentioned Leeds history and you can't just ignore that for their first 40-50 years they won nothing.

    Newcastle have won nothing, but in the context of 'the difference between us and them' they're massive. Streets ahead of us.

    I can remember going to Leeds in the 80s when they were on their arse. They had old boys like David Harvey and Peter Lorimer (complete with belly) plus a load of youngsters.

    They were crap, and their crowds had really dropped off, but they were still getting double our gates.

    Whatever Leeds fans are or think they are, they turn up in numbers and aren't easily put off by a bit of adversity.

    In contrast to some of our own fans who seem to have a love/hate attitude to our club.
