Not so much cheating mate, as to put it lightly, poor officials.

I know a lot keep saying we had plenty of time to win it anyway. But I agree with OP, fact is we had opportunity to score a pen and play against 10 men. It would have been different and we most likely would have won. You don’t know how much such a huge injustice had an effect on the players for the rest of the match, concentration etc.

We would definitely be in a better position with 3 more points than we are now

We need refs of course, and its a scary thought that there probably wouldn't be any footy at all, without them!.
My blame here though is with the Efl. Refs making mistakes is one thing, but when it starts happening too regularly with certain ones, they must be assessed and punished with suspensions and/or fines etc.
For me, the bad decisions that have happened in matches this season, have been worse than ever before, as the standards are getting poorer.

I’m totally disillusioned with officials right now. I don’t think there’s a conspiracy, but I do think there’s a huge problem.

I’ve never really been one for ‘if only’ though. Every team can do that. If only the ref hadn’t given a ridiculous pen against Sheff Weds, they would be on 86 points. Etc etc.

Burton-gate has gone now. But the issue with the officials is still there, and I’m now going into every game expecting poor or even game changing decisions. It’s a huge problem that I think like this.
