"The expense of retaining Championship status is no longer there for us"

We were beat, and were outplayed, by Morecambe in the middle of the 2 thorough beatings by the 'giants of the league'. I am prepared to give him, and the team, time but he did himself no favours with all the bravado he spouted in the summer about how great we were going to be under his management. As for the players they need to show some bottle and stop hiding on the pitch.

 

Jesus Christ theres some deluded people about, the bloke spends 15 minutes having a dig at fans,belittling the clubs status,claiming the fans support of Hassell is having a detrimental effect on other players, bigging up the opposition,dismissing the abject performances so far as down to not having any money,...and people think he's 'just being honest'......slap me again Keith.....you must be be wearing dog collars and rubber masks and chained up in the cellar .

 

He's basically come out and said we'll probably get relegated as we can't afford to compete at this level! Is this the same guy that said he was going to have us playing like Barcelona?

OK, we don't have the money to spend on players but that's no excuse for starting at home with 1 player up front. When he said he saw no reason why we should play any different away than at home I thought he meant we should treat away games like a home game, not vice versa!

So 4th from bottom is success! It's going to be a bloody long season!

Taking bets on when a Barnsley player finally finds the opposition net........I'm going for Watford at home and it's a dodgy penalty.

And I don't consider merely stopping up to be overachieving when you've been in a division for 5 years. The first 2 seasons were the stopping up, we've not moved on and whilst that's not his fault we should be aiming for more....wasn't it his quote that said we have to be aiming to finish top, if you don't do that theres no point. That's not to say we will or even can finish top but not he's talking about 4th bottom!
