I agree, 13k a week after tax and NI is what, about 6_7 k, still a wage that many normal folk dream of.

The players we bring in are generally lower level players who are asked to step up to Championship level. It's a big adjustment for them to do that as we've seen this season and in previous seasons, so to go above and beyond that level is a very tall order. It's the team that eventually shines through good coaching which I think we have had in recent years. The individual players who have natural talent like a Holgate or Stones or David Hirst are sniffed out very quickly by premier league clubs. Even someone like Woodrow, who is a good player, doesn't have the pace or strength to play for a team much better than us. If he signed for Leeds he'd be a bench warmer.

They all made good money moving and couldn’t care less about anything else, wish fans would get these romantic ideas out of their heads, look at them now etc, bigger house, bigger car, fitter WAG,it’s 2020 cash is king, someone mentioned James Bree on here, know for a fact he was given a penthouse flat in Birmingham and in 2 weeks was earning more than I’ve ever earned in a year, think he will care if he plays or not ?
