    He is a great lad always a smile on his face , think he lived at Hemingfield haven,t seen him for nearly 45 years if you meet him again give him my best will you

    Gordon lived on the same street as me he was friends with my brother Bill

    Gordon was my dad, sadly he passed away in 1997, but I know he loved his time at the pit. Nice to hear from some one who knew him in his younger days.

    Yes mate Pete was my hero at the trade, looked after me I was only 15 yeas and 1 month old when I started there really watched over me

    He was only about 19 then I just lost touch with them all anyone remember johhny [Knuckles] Jones called him that because he was always playing Knuckles
