Even if this is correct (and I don't know either way) what's your point? Are you saying that Danny should have thrown him straight into the team as soon as he was "fit" despite having missed out on pre-season and never played a competitive game for us?

He also played Holgate, Bree, Abbot, Oates and Cowgill who came on for an injury at Walsall to mek is first appearance, also McHale I think he were called played in a cup game. So along with Smithy it just shows Danny weren`t interested in blooding yoof. Ho ho feckin ho.

Poor or not I think it's a fact I'm not saying it's right or wrong I just think the club had come to the end of the track this is how it is now

    Good post.
Pleasant trip to Colchester, small ground on right hand side. Easy driving
Hope we win, irrespective of tactics unknown

Five months into the season we should have had alot more clean sheets by now. It's worrying Wigan scored with their only two on target efforts of the afternoon.

Talking of Danny Wilson. I went to the Preston away game where Smithy made his debut and remember it was absolutely awful. Things were not good under Danny at that point.

Agree with your list of dreadful players with exception of Watkins. Think he has consistently worked hard and generally played okay in an often terrible team.

James Bailey gave the worst midfield performance I've ever witnessed that day.

Danny needed to go, it was almost as bad as it is now under him. To say we've hone backwards since his departure speaks more about LJ's ability than it does Danny's.

As a huge Danny fan, even I was saying at the time that it wasn't good enough. Not away from home at least. But I think he deserved patience/time. It's never simple rebuilding a side after relegation. Look how hard Lee's found it, building upon a side that wasn't far off the playoffs...

But he wasn't given time. Lee is being given that. It might be the right thing. I'm happy to see and find out. Makes a change from sacking them as soon as results turn.

Results havent turned though have they? Theyve been consistently poor since he's been here and the performances have been worse.

I much preferred Wilson to Johnson but even so thats not much of a compliment, both were/are not good enough. The last few appointments really have been pisspoor.

Question though. How far on in the season, and how far in the mire would you see us go before your support for keeping him would waver? (Acknowledging that your views have wavered already after some of the games). Would you see it through if it meant relegation and re-building?
