    He'd played in the Champions League, and was a pretty regular goalscorer from midfield at a level higher than ours.

    I thought we'd signed the best player in the division. I was wrong.

    No wrong there. Poor for us before the injury from Morgan. Even pre assault he didn't really show himself to be good for us. Then after the incident plenty blamed it for how poor he was in games for us when he wasn't playing any differently to before. He then left us and dropped a division and still couldn't do it.
