It is a risk i agree, one maybe two signings could be pushed out,but to suggest 4 or 5 as he has done is plain daft

RE: He thinks money grows on trees, we've got what we've got and thats it.Lump it

As I mentioned in an earlier post not INVESTING in the team is more likely to condemn us to administration. Simple business fact!

RE: and the saved wages mentioned above (nt)

I don't disagree with the saved wages, im talking of the outlay needed to add quality to this squad, the type of players folk are wanting i.e goalscorer etc don't come cheap.Look at Barry Hayles last night,a very very good striker, what did they pay? Id hazard a guess at around 500k,thats what you're up against.People say "We should have pushed boat out on wages for Chopra" So your Newcastle United, Barnsley want him on cheap however Cardiff will glady shell out 500k on him! What you gonna do?

We can't compete with that spending.I think Mcindoe is a steal at 125k but how many players are out there that are better than what we've got for less than that.

I'll be honest i think we wouldn't spend more than 200k on a player, youd do well to get the type of quality fans on here are after for that.

plymouth paid 50 grand less for Hayles than we did for Paul Hayes

or to put it another way, for 50k more we could have signed someone like him instead of tommy wrong

    Surely spending a lot of

Money we haven't got is a surefire way of doing that much more quickly.

Plus the whinge brigade would be the first to have a go if we signed someone who didn't bag a hat trick in their first game. As the situation stands Ritchie is damned if he does etc.......

    I've said this before............

Who says we aint got any money !!!!!
Shep and Pat Cryne have never said that
No one knows except Shep and PC and the other directors how much extra money there is for wages
Even if (and its a big if) you looked at the balance sheets there would be no indication on there what money there is extra for wages
SO STOP THIS B*ll*cks ABOUT NO MONEY.
If you hear from shep that theres no money then that the time to say such things
But as far as I know he keeps saying we are offering AR money for players
I have personally heard him say this - the guy dosen't look or sound like a liar to me

As for wanting 5 players, I dont expect AR to buy in 5 players at 500k each
But we need a stronger squad than what we have now
If we dont get it we may, repeat may, be looking at relegation
What cost would relegation be to the club ????
the disappointment felt by fans would see home gates down to 7 thou

Haven't we just come out of administration?

And the books haven't balanced or broken even for a number of seasons.

I would suggest that this indicated to most people that we don't have any money. The point is, if we don't have much money - why buy five players if they're not going to be better than what we have? We need to be buying reasonably expensive players if we are reasonably to expect them to be a jump up from what we have (good players don't come cheap). I'll put my neck out and say that we haven't got the money.

And I will stick mine out as well because this league is as high as we shall go.. The fan base will never support anything else on a sustained basis.. But we wont go down of that I am convinced...

What the hell has administration got to do with the price of tatties?

As for no money yer guessing
    And yer guessing - Wrong
We don't need loads of money to spend on players to come to the club
But we do need money for wages
And what about loan signings....we ant had none of them either
    So summerts wrong somewhere

Didn't GS say we'll still operate at a loss this year

Which usually means we haven't any money

the unaudited loss for the year ended 31 May 2006 is £400k per GS. I'd be disappointed if we don't turn in at least a small profit in the year to 31 May 2007
