The MET have surely got to investigate Boris Johnson for breaking the law

There is also the fact that in the email says ‘we thought it would be nice’ and seeing as though he is the private secretary to the tub of lard, I would imagine that the same tub of lard was fully aware of this invite.

What do you reckon on the time limitation issue? I seem to recall that with some motoring offences the six month period only commences from when the police became aware of the offence (not ignoring the NIP requirements!).

Thats not true. My borough has a 30k Labour majority. And there are several people who admitted they’d previously voted Tory but didn’t/ wouldn’t with DePfeffel as leader.

The mood has definitely shifted and it’s all a matter of when not if the liar in chief goes.

I'm fairly saddened by all this.
Just opened my Google Photos app and searched for 'May 2020'.
It seems I went for lots of solo walks on the canal and Shipley Glen. I took dozens of pictures and videos of Blackbirds singinging in the garden (remember the silence of no traffic - it was as beautiful as it was scary). I have pics of our monthly 'lads night out' ......... except it wasn't - it was the novelty of a Zoom Lads Night out, each of us showcasing our drink of choice. I took pics of the fantastic efforts Mrs Mac made of garden lights and candles etc so it felt like we were on holiday on the warm nights. And most telling; 20th May - I took pics of the two amazing curries and kebabs I cooked for me and my mates for a 'lads night in'. They ended up being frozen for a couple of weeks til we felt we could do the right thing.

That was my 1st lockdown. Sacrifice? What sacrifice?

I agree - spent many a year working in that there London and I would have agreed with Stephen Dawsons observation at one point. However with work having been based in Croydon and Hertfordshire the last 3 years, the mood among southern peers has definitely shifted. Our Stevenage office canteen sounds like a Barnsley WMC from the 80's at times.

Ive just had a look through my photos and 20th May I was also in my garden. Eating and drinking.

a Barbecue in fact with the garden in incredible bloom given the lack of pollution and much less noise.

The difference being it was my wife and I. It was a very welcome taste of normality given we’d not been outside of our house given my wife’s condition.

Id not really considered what we were doing while they were partying. It surprises me that I despise them all the more.

I know how you feel but there were lots of people breaking the rules. A lot of people I knew were raising a glass to furlough. Lockdown was party season.

Oh aye. Boris and Co were far from the only ones partying.
But they were the most vocal preachers.

This isn't bias because I voted Tory. I get the angst. I'd just feel a bit of a hypocrite having a go at people having parties whether in government or not when I partook in the VE day w'nkathon myself. We had a barbecue. There was a street party in the bull ring with bunting up on our street. The police even came to wish us well and make sure people were social distancing.

It's such a lose lose situation. Boris should resign or be sacked because his behaviour isn't acceptable of someone who is in charge of the country.

However I believe he's one of the most liberal of the bad bunch, which is good for those of us who want normality. Too many in the cabinet are far more cautious and pressure Boris to keep restrictions for longer. If we had someone like Gove or Javid as the PM I would have less hope that plan B would disappear and believe we would have been under similar Christmas rules as the rest of the UK still are if they had been in charge last month.

It's one thing to go against restrictions, it's another entirely to set those restrictions then break them yourself. It shows that you either don't believe what you're telling the country or simply don't care. Either way, it completely undermines public health messaging.

I was a fan of 'The Crown'.
I know it was only a drama with a few facts thrown in, but one of the constant 'facts', from Winston Churchill to present time is that the Queen meets her PM most weeks.
After that image of her sat alone, mourning her husband of 70+ years, from a distance, how the hell can she let this man into the same room as herself?

And that is whether you are a royalist or a republican. There was no denying her devotion ....

Difference between the queen and Johnson is that the queen has lived her entire life according to protocol, so following rules is kind of what she does by default. Johnson on the other hand has lived his life completely opposite to that, he deliberately and consistently goes against what is expected of him. He's a dangerous idiot.

The Queen still has a massive say in what goes off too.

Our lass was taken in to hospital 2 days before the date in question....she has never been home since. I didn't see her for 2 months, then had to have visits at the nursing home through a gap in the window for another 6 months (can't visit at the minute due to a Covid outbreak).

I didn't complain about the situation, just stuck to the rules.

Am I mad when I read about these parties?...... not overly due to the fact I am not in the least bit surprised. The Tory party have always taken the public for mugs, but the current batch have it off to a fine art. The current ploy is "we can't answer the question as there is an inquiry going off".....an inquiry by themselves into themselves ( independent my ar5e).

Yet I still hear people saying they are doing a better job than other party's would and Johnson is doing his best (like a 5 year old getting his lines wrong in a school play)....and that's when I get mad

Just done the same. On 9th May my wife and I went for a walk to our daughters house and took some photos of our 9 month old grandson. Through a pane of glass. :(

Was that on health grounds or just being good citizens?
