I agree CR. You would hope that he would have been professional if we'd have refused him a move, but it would have been disconcerting for the Coach, the other players and the fans knowing that he didn't really want to be at the Club, plus it would only have stifled the opportunities for a player wanting to break into the team.

As we saw with Yiadom, an unsettled player does nothing for squad morale and can lead to bickering. Like I've said in another posting, very sorry to see him go, but don't for one minute blame the Board. What alternative other than let him leave for free next season did they really have.? We need to be patient and see how our new signing perform before we are able to make any judgements.

I have the same opinion as this.

Fully back the plan too but the fee is the upsetting part.

If reports are to be believed we lost players of Hourihane and Pinnock's ability for less that 3 million. Real shame. If this deal was over 5 million id be disappointed but would fully accept it.

The owners really cant go back on their word now though and I feel they now have to invest every penny back into the squad this window to get some of the fan base backing them again.

Another question, which has now being put to bed is the" I have faith in the management not to sell our best players CHEAPLY " arguments and I have faith in the new regime etc etc.
We know they are no different, we just can't seem to negotiate a decent fee for our players like other clubs can (posh and Luton f or starters).
As stated we cannot compete with anyone in this league for wages, I accept that but , do we have to universally accept we will lose 5 of our best players on the cheap every other season and re start the whole rebuilding job again?
I guess the answer is yes....but let's get decent fees for our players......please!
I don't like it but accept it, I just hope the new lads will be good.
Oh and now we know about our players, can we please try get our coach on an improved longer contract.....or we may just lose him too.

This is it, Daniel is now in his last year of his contract so if he doesn't sign this new deal soon does the same path the club take on this apply to him?

It's very difficult to realise a players potential fee wise, if only one Club is reported to be interested.
I'd be extremely surprised if Brentford's opening offer wasn't derisory, but they probably kept upping
their bids until we agreed to sell. I do agree with Troff though, it seems a tad low given the fees that
other Clubs have realised for their players.

I feel that Lindsays transfer was slightly different, as we were told that there was interest in him from a French
Club I believe. That being the case, it could still be judged as low, given the time and effort we invested in his
    development.

Everyone is disappointed about the departure of last seasons defence, Pinnock in particular and are rightly expressing that disappointment.

However a quick look at some of the users that have appeared from out of the woodwork and have been the most vociferous, it would appear that they are using yesterdays sale as a reason to ease the pain of promotion and reiterate their strange dislike of a club they claim to support.
