It would've been a great gesture... ...if it had been named the Tommy Taylor stand on the 50th anniversary of the crash.
RE: It would've been a great gesture... I agree with that and they could have named something after Johnny Steele last year after his passing.
They'll bang something the size of a ten pence piece on the back of the Ponty. Remember them at Oakwell - we don't.
Just been sick a little in the back of my throat "Decisions are made by the board without one person domineering" Is that the two man board then? One person doesnt dominate, two decide instead, well thats much better isn't it. I'd like to point out that (and this has nothing to do with the article of course) I would be very keen to praise someone if he put me on his board of directors despite the fact i'd been the common denominator in pretty much every failed board in the past.
Also "It is felt that there is no need for the cult of Chairman rules, we don't think in this scenario it is necessary" didn't cryne say that we DID want a chairman?
Also again "We have no sold more Season tickets than last year, a strategy clearly laid down by Patrick." Did we give them away then?
If he pulls out were f*cked.... and if he reads half of this board l bet he wonders why he bothers. Name the ground after him for all l care because nobody else is willing to take us over.
I reckon we should name it the Peter Doyle stadium Afterall he was the one who actually saved us. The only bid for the club that was made when we were in administration wasn't it. Others casually asked about it but only one person actually saved us and put in a proper bid. Peter Doyle.
Who's sterling job? I think that Cryne should have a stand named after him. The AFC stand on BFC land should be renamed the Patrick Cryne stand
Actually Wasn't there three bids on the table (one of which was from Cryne)? I thought, could be wrong, that the administrators for some reason decided to accept Doyles.
