    But sooner or later you have to put faith in someone. Yes he may go downhill but all indications are that he'll develop into a proper player. So instead of cashing in, surely let's try and keep him. Even if he never improves, he'll still be worth £2m in two years time but may well be worth double or triple that. I wouldn't accept a bid now of any less than £5m. On a side note, Chelsea is a graveyard for young talent. He' go there and be about 5th choice behind a series of Eastern European/French/African/Ecuadorian nobodies bought at 15.

    Don said at the BBS meeting that when he signed the new contract it would allow the club to start at £5m when clubs eventually came in for him.

    10 million and no less should be even entertained

    Hope he is in a bfc shirt for at least another 2 seasons.

    Exactly my thoughts. Anything less than £10 million and we've been mugged again. If other clubs can get big transfer fees for players based purely on potential then so should we.
