Ok, I can live with that in L1. But.. for me he has to contribute more this season. If he does I'll come back on here and say he's been great and Im an idiot regarding Watters. I will.

To me he has his problems with injuries but when he is fit he gets 10 minutes here and there, which doesn't help his fitness or confidence he wants a few weeks starting games and staying on then we might se him grow in stature

Your statistic fits your narrative quite well but 149 appearances and 38 goals is a much more fitting statistic. 1 goal every 3.92 games (so call it 4). 46 games divided by 3.92 equates to 11.7 goals a season (let’s call it 12) that’s not good enough for a team wanting to be up there.

Thats the stats side of it, now my viewpoint and opinion - he doesn’t challenge for headers, he hasn’t got a first touch, his link up play is terrible, he can’t take a ball coming short, turn and drive at defenders (barring the goal again Lincoln this season I believe which was admittedly a good goal). I want to see him succeed, any player in a Barnsley shirt we want to see succeed, but there’s a time when the chances have come and gone. I think if he was sold he wouldn’t be one we’d be thinking in a few years time that he was one that got away.

All the league one teams will not be looking forward to playing us with the two out and out strikers we have. Watters and deadly Dallas, the defenders will be in for a hell of a shift.

I've said the same kid, I think it was or really it could have been a good signing, when we brought Watters back.
But it's not worked out has it for various reasons, even though he is a grafter.
Hard working players are always appreciated, but when they are strikers who can't score!!.

Do feel a bit sorry for Dallas. Gets a rough ride on here and hasn’t done anything wrong except probably (we’ve never really seen him) not being able to make the jump to the level we’re at.

With the state of the club also guessing he’s probably not had the greatest help in his development.

Yeah exactly BM, and that's happened with a number of players/strikers, over the years.
Stefan Payne was another one, who just didn't get a fair chance, but fans still had a go.
