Speaking of shitholes. Did you see that programme about Wartogs on the discovery channel? The little ones are so cute aren't they?
RE: I mean stand near or amongst them The point is mate the club has to draw the line somewhere on what it spends on security. Week in week out a handful of men get thousands of (sometimes highly emotionally charged) people in and out of a stadium with very little trouble. The fact that our focus is on name-calling is testament to their success. I'm sure you'd rather be called a name than get a beating. The chanting is very difficult to contain or prove and all they have to do is stop when approached. I guess the method you suggest would work but I don't think there are any stewards in plain clothes, I think that would be up to the police. I'll find out.
RE: "Stat in brackets is 2003/4 figures" Yes, they were published in november. Do you have more upto date ones? As I said you seem to know more about what the club are doing. I don't know what the figures prove anyway to be honest. The Club had 38 football relawted arrests last year, 19 were at Oakwell, 1 was for racist chanting.
RE: How many of the banning orders Those figures aren't given. One arrest for racist chanting last year although there were only 6 in the whole division.
I can just see you. Wrapped in a blanket, stinking of Olbas Oil, feverishly Googling and licking the snot from your lip. "F'ckin Windy. I'll show the bastad."
I understand the commercial implications but how many people like me are reluctant to take family members due to this small number of braindeads chanting their vile uneducated filth? the treatment Rennie got made my stomach turn. everytime we play Bradford we know its coming but nothing is done about it.
I think if the stewards/police are incapable of ejecting the odd fan from a stadium Heaven help us.. In an emergency! Total load of b**********ks!
RE: I understand the commercial implications There is a lot being done. I suppose it's human nature to concentrate on the little bit that slips the net. Also, regarding CCTV, very handy in cases of violence but my guess is that short of fitting the perpetrator with a mic you could do nothing to prove in court what he was actually chanting. It's a ******, I know, but it helps to know that the club and security officials are doing their best with limited resources and share your frustration.
RE: How many of the banning orders Sorry about this. I can understand where people are coming from. But what next, are we going to ban all away teams fans who call us dingles, and start singing that stupid hovis tune. FFS Political Correctness, Racism and everything else is getting completely out of hand. We won't be able to fart without having to notice who is offended soon. We don't get offended when someone calls us a Limey, so why should they be offended when they are called paki's. Surely Paki is short for pakistani, ****** is a latin word for black etc etc. Lets play the racist card, lets try and play mind games with the opposition, we all have one thing in common. We love watching football and chanting "wind up" songs etc. If they are offended, I say, up yours mate, I got one over on you, when they offend us, we just come up with another song, and sing back. Part and Parcel of the game. Just everyone be careful on what they should ban and get clear standards before ejecting everyone out just because he called me a name...:-|
one diference calling me a dingle isnt illegal, chanting 'you're just a town full of pakis' is.
i laugh off the dingle thing because i know it is just a term used between football fans. the term paki isnt a football term it is a word used to put down and insult foreigners and by saying 'just' you are saying that 'pakis' are lesser people than ourselves.

RE: one diference Crap mate. The chant using the word dingle would also be illegal then. As you say this would then say WE "are lesser people than" them. ie thick. So where does that stand. Too much politics and correctness is the problem with this lot
RE: one diference BTW I am not saying that racism is a good thing, far from it. I just think it ought to be put into perspective with a million and one other things in this country. We are supposed to be a demacratic country that can have free speech and arguements about what is right or wrong. But the only problems is, no one knows where to stop this insulting angle. For example. 2 out of 3 offices in the country are not allowed to put up christmas decorations due to fear of offending other races. Put this to them, if they are offended, or they don't celebrate christmas, are they saying that they are prepared to work on 25th December etc. I think not!
You've just made that up "2 out of 3 offices in the country are not allowed to put up christmas decorations due to fear of offending other races" That's just not true.
you on drugs or just thick?
Would it really? Is the term dingle a racist word? I have never heard of the race of dingles.
Do you think it is acceptable to call somebody a paki?
