I couldn't care less about other fans - I care what our fans do. We've just been charged by the FA. We need to grow up and behave.
I'm sorry, but it's a racist chant when it references a country. I don't like to hear it either, but you're right when it comes to the town the game is being played in. I'm sure there'd be hell on if fans sung pakistan is full of **** at a Bradford City game. No difference for me.
The announcement said quite clearly that it was fans in ck Beckett stand. You don't need to be a genius to work out that that stand houses Barnsley fans
Again I'm no genius but that's because Barnsley is in England. Bradford isn't in Pakistan and pretending Bradford is in Pakistan is racist
you must have missed this bit. the bit where it was our fans. "The first announcement related to an isolated incident in the South Stand, reported by Barnsley FC supporters towards the end of the first half. Stewards were deployed to the specific area.
True, some folk can't wait to have a go at our fans whilst conveniently ignoring whats going on at the other end of the stadium
Agreed. We also need to report Cardiff for Peterson inciting the crowd thus making the job of the stewards tougher.
Exactly right, at least someone gets it, if Bradford were in pakistan and english fans sang about Pakistan being a sh1thole just imagine the uproar, but when Cardiff sing it about England it gets no mention from the moral high grounders falling over themselves to call our fans out over an isolated incident. Thanks for helping to make my point.
No, I'm not helping to make your point. If Bradford were in Pakistan then singing the song would be the same as singing it about England in Barnsley (i.e. not racist). But Bradford isn't in Pakistan, is it? So there's a clear difference between singing that in Bradford and singing about England in Barnsley.
But you are though. Literally everything in this thread you've posted. Even your theoretical example of defence, is wrong.
I think it's more a case of He says Bradford is England You say it's Pakistan One is correct, the other is extremely racist
I just don’t see how an isolated incident in the Ponte is any different from most of the away end singing that our country is full of ****, both are racist and should be equally condemned, happily the fans of other clubs seem to see my point as per the article, whilst the racist apologists amongst ours continue to insist that its Ok to chant derogatory chants about our country.
