Farage will never be PM. If he did take over the tories, hardly any of the traditional tories would be left voting for him.

Those people would vote Labour or lib dem. There are still people who still find the current tories just about palatable but not the far right.

Farage just wants to grift his way into parliament to continue his skimming of tax payer funds for the least effort possible. He has no interest in politics or making peoples lives better. When Nigel gets paid, thats all that matters. The less that money has been earned, the greater satisfaction he gets. Just look at his glee of skimming EU funds for just clocking in and out.
