So to give ourselves a decent chance we need 70 points. That's 5 wins from the last 8 games. Throw a draw in there somewhere and that would probably be enough.

Sheff Utd, Colchester, Chesterfield, Notts County and Rochdale. Plus draws against Bradford and Peterborough. Easy!

I see it far simpler. We have to play rochdale, peterborough, Chesterfield, bradford and sheff utd. 5 games. Each one all out to win gives us 15 points and stops our rivals picking up any points. We need to win them all and we'll be in play offs.

Any points picked up against bristol, Colchester and notts county are a bonus (and we should pick up 4 points).

We have 5 cup finals to decide our own fate. We can beat all those teams on our day. It's up to LJ to get the players fired up and carry on our recent form, and then it's down to the players to show belief and play to their potential. A team with ramage, crainie, nyatanga, Scowen, pearson, hourihane, winnall has the spine of quality to match any team we face.

Errr my equation is a tad straightforward...We're simply not one the top six teams in this division.

If you are in with a good shout for the play offs come last match how many do you think you will bring? You aren't the biggest club but in those circumstances, Keefs first return back to Oakwell, last league game for three months etc would you bring say 3,000? Maybe i'm giving you too much credit but you could bring your home crowd.

    How about this scenario:
    Dale run in:
    Oldham 3pts 56
    Yeovil 3pts 59
    Preston 0pts 59
    Port Vale 3pts 62
    Don 1pt 63
    Swin 0pts 63
    Gill 1pt 64
    Orient 3pts 67
    Mk 1 pt 68

    Barnsley run in:
    Bristol 0pts 65
    Sheff 1pt 66
    Col 3pts 69
    Chfld 3pts 62
    Notts 3pts 65
    P'bor 1pt 66
    Brad 1pt 67

Last game Barnsley 67pts, Dale 68pts - winner takes all.

No chance of 3000. We've taken 1500 as far as Torquay and Newport when going for promotion in Keiths 1st spell and last season. With it being Sunday lunch may get a few more tourists than a normal Saturday. Would estimate 2000 you never know with these one off games?

It could happen though. We'd not drawn since mid November before our last 2 games. That's about 4 months without a draw. There doesn't seem to be many draws in this league. I mean Peterborough are 6th despite losing 16 games this season.

You have to much time on your hands...

Key observation is that we have to play five teams in top half of the table. Winner takes all. Its in our hands. If we can beat Bradford, Blunts, Dale, Chezzy, and Peterborough we are guranteed... Continue on current run of form and we stand a chance

If only we could have turned one of our last 3 into a win we could have been in a really strong position.

That said, as soon as we become favourites the pressure will start to build. Perhaps we're best off around 7th/8th until the last 3/4 games.
