RE: 'Macho' ? I shall be as miserable as f.ck until I deem it pertinent to be otherwise.
And it's nowt to do with anyone on here how many times I've answered a late night call from various ladies. When I was a pizza delivery boy..

RE: So is now a good time to ask Is it started ? I'll sign up. Poor lad deserves all the support we can muster.
I'm not going Washing my hair. Anyway I'm only arguing for the sake of it. Everybody else does, so I thought I'd join in.
Me neither Can't make it... the sight of the FA Cup would send me into a deep depression. Thanks for "arrow maker" by the way. Didn't win, but came close.
RE: For all you miserable sods moaning about this Hi all , This is my first visit to the site for a few months owing to personal circumstances. I read all the views about the FA cup being at the open day with amusement . As always life on this bulletin board helps us see real life and beyond ! . For what it is worth my views are : Commercial Opprtunities I was out in the USA when the English premier league trophy was taken out there and it was awesome to see the queue of people waiting to have their picture taken with the cup for a few dollars each. The queue had drinks sellers, raffle ticket sellers etc and all in all I reckon if we took the same approach at Oakwell we could gain enough to fund a new striker who can hit a barn door from 10 yards out .or grass roots kids football locally . Also the Uk is focused on 2012 as the London Olympics, but why dont we start our build up to our centenary of when we won the cup and use the open day to get ideas for how we should mark the occasion . Less than 4 years to the centenary so not long to plan for great PR and dosh in the clubs coffers . I would volunteer to coordinate organising this for free . FA Cup versus Boring guests At least the FA Cup has more charisma and has a better vocabulary than most old and current footballers who can just about say 3 words, yes /no / grunt and at least it c an be adorned with ribbons and memorabilia rather than a high maintenance boring WAG . A bit like a poodle really ! We could consider having a guard dog to stop it getting knicked . Not suggesting fellow Barnsley folk are light fingered. Simply someone might want to pull a stunt like when someone nicked the world cup in Engalnd and that dog found it . Oh god what was its name ? Did it begin with P ?. Supporters Trust Like all semi " official " bodies " they will always get and should expect stick . Thats life if you choose to put yourself in the public arena . Whilst they can never please everyone all of the time , I think they should be commended for pulling this off . The FA cup is still magical in 2008. How many contributors to this bulletin board said they would prefer winning the cup even if it meant relegation . All I ask is that there is Planning and focus on resouricng any queues to deal with the pictUre taking and if charges they are small and not professional camera guys only . I would volunteer to do it myself but just ask exCity tyke , harrow and others as to proficiency of my digital camera skils !, evidenced in New York . Those who aren't happy It is fine not to be happy about a situation . That is the strength of forums like ours. At the end of the day, the FA Cup visiting Oakwell for a few hours is but a blot on the landscape . Consider though during that " blot " , a young generation and a dafter younger at heart generation ( your truly ) will capture the moment and share it with loads of non Barnsley fans, plus we might make some badly needed money to channel into kids / youth football etc. I am still hopeful of making it to the open day , however it is tight timing with a funeral in Sweden I must prepare for and attend , so maybe some kind " happy optimistic Barnsley fan "on here will offer to take a pic of the cup for me to treasure . I will buy the drinks at QPR , where we will win this year " or the first home game - in a pub where I can drink wine in a proper glass not that riff raff plastic tumbler stuff and I aint buying both ! ok Freya is off her orange box . Good to be back ! ( who sang that ? ) Freya
