only 19 years old, but me and r lass have already been discussing moving to australia when we get to about 25/30 depends on how things are obviously but if we have to financial resources and means to do it we are seriously considering the possibility

Moved away in 92, came back in 95, mainly due to problems with work rather than anything else.</p>

I'd definitely like to live abroad again, but wouldn't want to have to learn a new langugage now.</p>

We've only been gone three months

so early days yet but I really can't see us regretting moving out.

Almost uninterupted blue skies (it's only rained twice since we've been here)
Sandy beaches with warm seas (and not that many sharks, honest)
Inexpensive fuel (50p a litre for petrol, 25p for LPG... I'm driving a 3.8L Holden Commodore for peanuts)
An optimistic outlook (no self-perpetuating media doom and gloom about the housing market here)
A truly multicultural society (large Greek, Italian, Chinese, Philipino, Eastern European communities)

    There are downsides of course...
Listening to the match at 2am in the morning
Nowhere do they do good chips (too crispy and oily like deep fried oven chips)
No good curry houses (limited menus and I had a beef Madras yesterday which looked and tasted just like a tin of John West stewed steak. Appalling.)
All the shops and supermarkets close early (I didn't realise how dependant on extended hours I'd become)
The English heritage has a lot to answer for (mmm... seafood platter <imagines fresh mediterranean dish> reality, receives plate of battered crap)
