He was massively off point making his point today. At least let the families have their comfort (from the minute's silence) before he goes on his crusade. He may be right, he may be wrong. That actually is irrelevant at this point. Just let the day pass with dignity.
Whitey what don't you get, people are offended that this self publicising ***** chose today to hijack a minutes silence where the nation could show sympathy and solidarity in a DIGNIFIED manner and he just couldn't keep his gob from flapping, end of! Whether you watched it in its entirety is irrelevant .
Again, proof you've not watched it. It was filmed three days ago, posted two days ago.. I accept he's attention seeking, agree he shouldn't have used the word ********. But in terms of the video content, and context, nothing like what is being reported by the OP and some sides of the media. Agendas everywhere. I'm satisfied that I agree with a bloke who thinks it's wrong that we as a country are controlled by corporation owned governments who send our troops to muslim countries killing hundreds of thousands of innocent folk and then expect us to listen to the likes of Cameron talking about a minutes silence when we've been selling billions of pounds worth of arms to these terrorists over the years, to a prrick like Cameron who then practically points the finger of blame at muslims full stop. If others think I'm daft, don't agree etc, fine. Not going to chastise folk over it. We all have our opinions and beliefs. I won't decry other folk for that. Each to theirs.
You're getting all shouty over something you haven't even watched. I can't begin to take you seriously, sorry mate. And it was posted TWO DAYS AGO (caps lock is fun). But you'd know that, had you watched it, rather than read a ******* context-less media slant.
Meh. I think I'm done for the neet on this topic. It's only worth continuing with if others are adding summat, from either side. Feels like I'm a lone warrior on this. And I'm tired and listening to The Cure.
And the minutes silence came as a surprise did it? he knew it was coming when he posted it, you make a big thing of people 'getting shouty' mate but its pretty obvious that you get pretty uppity when folk don't share your opinions. And I did say right at the outset that time would prove who was right, but you are right, I haven't watched it all because IMHO lifes too short to waste listening to waste listening to self publicising tits like that.
I watched it today? So yes I've watched it. Not sure how you've proved I haven't. Just odd. My point is still valid... and you are missing the point....Russell Brand, may well be right in what he is saying.... but the timing is ***** in terms of respecting people's grief. Just leave it a day or two and go through the right channels. But no, he can't.
No need to fall out pal over a difference of opinion. All I know is that I wouldn't give an opinion on summat I'd not seen. No big thing either. I used shouty due to your use of caps. I've given my two penneth, not arsed who agrees or doesn't. But satisfied with my beliefs.
You mentioned him 'making his point today'. He didn't. It was three days ago. Nothing odd about me pointing that out. Pretty big part of folk's arguments in this thread, that on today of all days...... As I said above, I've had my two penneth, not falling out with folk. I accept a number of your points and others'. But as I also acknowledged, I'm pretty much alone in thinking like this so there's little left in terms of debate.
OK mate fair enough, I'll go with that, like you say its not worth falling out over, I would qualify about not watching it by saying I couldn't watch it all because the guy just genuinely winds me up that much, still like you say each to their own
I watched the video today. It matters not a jot whether the video was made today, yesterday or three days ago. He should not be doing anything today, yesterday or the day before, to diminish the event today that grieving families are using as part of their grieving and tributes/ respects. I'm not interested in whether Brand is right or wrong at this stage. I just find it disrespectful that he puts himself at the forefront when there is something there to offer people a slice of support, and comfort. All of this jostling could happen later. which day he said what is irrelevant. He said it too soon.
I don't particularly like Russell Brand the interesting things that he has to say unwind in his self serving personality. I can see his point though not sure it is the right time to make it. Then again when is the right time. If we had a minutes silence for every Muslim that has died in the 'war on terror' we would be more silent than Hillsborough on a Saturdsay afternoon is all I know. But I guess we care when white folks die rather than the wedding party of a 100 including 20 kids killed by 'smart bombs operated by stupid people in Afghanistan and from our point of view I guess that's only natural. Can you even have war on terror. It's a concept not an entity. I might start my own war on happiness soon.
Watched it a couple of days ago. It was spot on and not in the slightest disrespectful to those who died or their families.
Wouldn't be the first time. But in all seriousness, I'm really not. I feel content in my views this evening. Said my piece which really dunt count for much does it? We are but a tiny forum when all's said etc. We're not going to change/alter the world with our words. But.... I've not disrespected anybody with my posts, no offence to take from em. I just clearly value life/peace/faiths and truth more than a lot of you seem to do.
so Whitey... your also 'Andy' who talks absolute ****** are you ? thats my favourite language as well so we should get on well on here!!
