Depends on the motives of said people. If their primary motive is BFC's welfare, then they wouldn't. If they're easily swayed by a few bob, then a few bob should do it. The boardroom coup last summer was hugely welcome and swayed me away from needing to make a decision as to whether I was willing to continue supporting the club in its current state. The new board asked them to judge us by their actions, so I'm still hugely interested in how those actions signal their intent to put BFC's interests ahead of their own. So far all the signs have been good, but I'm sure I'm not alone in watching very closely indeed.
Since that article I believe it has been posted that the minor shareholders have been bought out. Gally mentioned it in another thread. Conway paid up in the rights issue, the statement at the time mentioned everyone had paid in line with their current shareholding. The only influence they have right now is that we're still paying wages to Oulare and Iseka, I'm surprised there wasn't a question about those two. Other than that it makes no difference if they have 40% of the shares or not, they have zero input into the running of the club.
Since the coupe we haven't heard from Chien Lee. This intrigues me. Is it true that he can fit a whole avocado pear up his ar53 hole?
Oddly enough I was thinking we don’t see much of Parekh either and seems to be more JAQ who is the ‘face’ of the board.
