Read what I said re informal talks. We all know he wasn't offered a contract. Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been doing a jigsaw. I just realised that the section I've been putting together is a horse's ass. Theme for the day it seems. That's me out of this argument anyway. Enjoy the strife.
Disagree. I thought we were overachieving first half of last season, should’ve been bottom with what we had available
A great thread and some fantastic response, views, opinions, in football are no different to politics or religion, we'll never agree wi each other. I love all the handbag stuff as well.
The players were careful with what they said about contracts in terms of ‘I’ve not been offered one’. Cryne said that initial talks were held with players agents & he was told they wouldn’t be signing new contracts so there was never a stage where a new contract was officially offered
That was my take on things last season too. I was shocked we managed to pick up so many points early on.
The same Grayson who failed miserably at Sunderland & managed to take Bradford from a play off position to the comfort zone of mid table . Incidentally , where is Mr Grayson managing now ?
You know what the most annoying part of this thread is? All the bloody double and triple posting! It's not hard to keep all the replies to a single post! But saying that, the OP's post count won't end up as high as his previous, moderated account then, would it?
When did Patrick say that? I remember him simply saying something to the effect of 'I love Conor but he wouldn't sign a new contract' I don't remember him saying anything to do with informal talks or anything of that nature. I do remember fans guessing that we would have had informal talks and assuming we would but no matter how many times the subject came up I don't recall any fanon here ever saying 'yeah but Patrick said they HAD informal talks about a contract'. Just surprised that if he said it why nobody has ever raised it before to defend him.
That's a bit like turning down a date with Kate Upton in favour of slaggy Sandra from Kendray because Sandra has been with 40 Barnsley lads before while Kate Upton has never even been to Barnsley before but is willing to travel halfway across the world just for you.
Leeds & Huddersfield he got them promoted. Sunderland no one could save them, Bradford not there long enough. No one better at this level
Nothing like that. It's like interviewing someone for a job as a chef. One has being very successful in 4 major restaurants and one has been the pot washer for the local pub
I say Pinnock will be in the Prem. I say Jackson has shown good glimpses. I say we have two excellent RB's and strikers for this division. I praise McGheehan, Bird & Moncur saying that we must go forward with them. Is that taken note of, no of course not
