I've read mine and yours and I'm still waiting for this evidence that we are in the bottom third in terms of income in the FL. I'll be generous and let you include the Premiership in that - even though your post way back when said the 68 (whoops) FL clubs.
I see. But I think (just guessing) Keith probably means that we had midfielders who were capable of scoring/creating goals, pre xmas, and we'd often out-score the opposition. Then, once we lost those midfielders, whom we never replaced, the defence were exposed....?
It really is very simple....there are 20 premier league clubs,24 Championship, and 24 League 1,to be in the top two thirds we would have to be in the top 46...we are 48th that puts is in the bottom third.Neither you nor I have the slightest idea what other income is generated, but I think it's not rocket science to see that the clubs with the bigger attendances will also be generating the biggest income stream.
I could have sworn there were four divisions in the entire league. They must have got rid of one and I missed it.
I said the top 68.....and yes I included the PL in that....please don't be obtuse just for the sake of it
The team that conceeded 5 goals at Oxford Watson, Moses, Shirtliff (Bosancic), Eaden, Thompson, De Zeeuw Redfearn, Bullock, Sheridan (Marcelle), Hendrie, Wilkinson. Unused sub, Liddell Or maybe I could put up the Man Utd team that conceeded 6 against City, or the Arsenal team that conceeded 8 against Utd. The two teams you mentioned also scored 3 goals, why haven't you put up all of the other teams that lost by 2 goals last season, I'm not sure I understand your point.
Is it really fair (or relevant) to compare our income with PL teams who receive £35m TV money? We'd need to have 50,000 gates to compete with that.
Re: The team that conceeded 5 goals at Oxford There seems to be some belief that we weren't conceding many goals when we were playing better. Quite clearly we were so for people to say the defence does not need improving is laughable. In my humble opinion.
Ok forget the PL....unless things change we will be the only club in the Championship trying to survive on League 1 gates. If Hill keeps us up again,he won't have done a bad job IMO.
The pattern I see there is that when we leave Addison and Preece on the bench we concede 5 goals, thank god they've both gone. It makes about as much sense as the daft point youre trying to make.
