Are MDG AND EARL our weakest links because they cant defend...

    I also find these polls annoying Hook, but I think the Op is entitled to ask the question about those two particular defenders.
    And yeah maybe Burton do deserve more credit after all.
    Rather than it being put down to us allowing them to play, and making them look much better than they are.

    The `Bemusing tactic` is clearly how we`ll look to play the majority of the time at oakwell, so it's fair to judge it. Winning doesn't change the fact we're putting huge pressure on our centre backs.

    Even when Roberts and Shepherd come back, who are solid defenders, but they aren't quick so asking them to play a high line is a huge risk, even if Cooper turns out to be a top sweeper keeper.

    We did well sitting deep against Plymouth and didnt have to defend in the second half against Burton but teams with more depth will be able to ask questions of us for more than 45 minutes. Our attack imo is promotion level but the qualities of our defenders and how they're asked to play could mean we miss out on the play-offs again.

    I get that we won but its not wrong to highlight weaknesses when its a long season and 3 points doesnt make our issues go away.
