I wouldn't know But one poster on here seemed quite adamant that Dillinger was indeed a '**** holder' so I can only assume that the boy's good.
I used to go out with a woman who had the Wicker Man soundtrack in her CD alarm- so to be woken in the morning by the maypole song was quite spooky. One of my all time faves along with "Don't Look Now" foer which the Wicker Man was the original B movie.
I'm a HUGE fan of the original so was expecting the worst from the remake. I must admit it wasn't as bad as I was expecting and appreciated the way they tried to take it in a slightly different direction without sticking too rigidly to the original. However, there are 2 major problems with the film. Firstly, Ellen Burstyn while being a great actress is not suited to the role of Lady Summersisle, the role needed someone with a bit more mystery and menace a la Christopher Lee in 1973. Secondly, the 'Six months later' ending was a joke and completely unnecessary, stuck on probably to satisfy American audiences. The original finished on such a dark note, there was no way they would end the remake in this way, instead deciding to explain to us the hunter and hunted theme just in case we weren't intelligent enough to work it out through the course of the film.....and probably to make way for Wicker Man 2!!
Like the Remake of Flight of the Phoenix , it seems pointless. Add on to that Assault on Precinct 13 , not a patch on the original.
The only remakes I like are Western takes on the Kurasowa movies.

They were interviewing Robin Hardy the director of the original Wicker Man on 6 Music this morning and apparently he is working on a new film with Christopher Lee. That might be quite interesting.
