It must really, really hurt Dimsworth that Yids is so coveted by his beloved Premier League clubs and in the fourth minute of AY's PL debut for Swansea in January he'll have played a minute more PL football than the combined total of five of the six the OP describes as Premier League players. Based on his garbled, illiterate, counterfactual flappings in the OP, I struggle to believe HT was anywhere near Burton last night (unless he was in a brewery all night) but, fair enough, let him have his rant. I'm all for reasonable free speech. However, I find his bizarre views on Yiadom becoming increasingly and persistently offensive. They're not based on performance and evidence (the guy prevented a goalbound effort against us and attacked beautifully last night, cf his exquisite chip to put Isgrove clear in the second half) but on background and prejudice. At least all Dimmsy's increasingly long-winded and frantic flapping in recent posts shows that there is only person who is "sad, sad". That's himself, persistently. Sad and dysfunctional, unlike the vast majority of us who can decide on who played/coached well based on what we see with our own eyes at each game, he's only got one pre-set view programmed in his one-dimensional brain and it's stuck on play. I've decided to post as I don't want witch hunts of our players by the BBS' resident gobshite to go unchallenged and because offensive liars should always be stood up to. If any of our players ever read his **** I'd just like them to note that he's an isolated fuckwit and if he's on your case, in all likelihood it means that you must be playing bloody well!
According to Soccerbase Dmitri Cavare has featured only 25 times for Lens, Rennes and now us since August 2014. What's even more frightening is that he has only featured on 5 occasions since February 2015. This isn't just league starts either, this is both starts and substitute appearances across all competitions. For you to be right and for Cavare to displace Yiadom in the matchday squad then he first has to get himself into a position where he's able to compete at U23 level. I just can't see it, it's just one thing after another which isn't entirely surprising given the lengthy lay offs that he has had.
I was there. Yiadom was one of our better players and when fit will be first choice in either full back position. Ugbo was out of his depth again it’s a steep learning curve. Barnes and Williams are great young lads and we are lucky to have either.
It's funny if you look at whoscored's championship team of the year for last year, and then think which 3 Barnsley players Hemmsy used to hammer the most. His commitment to being wrong is almost impressive
I was surprised Hecky took a gamble on Cavare considering his injury history . It might be a bit cynical of me but there's a certain kind of player that just can't be arsed to get fit cos really they're not too fussed about playing anyway . . I hope we ain't wasting too much brass on him .
Philip of Hemsworth. The other week by absolute chance, I came across an old review of the Queen album "A Day At The Races". The reviewer did not like the album at all, which is absolutely fair enough. Queen were not everyone's cup of tea, and while I happen to think it's an absolutely tremendous record, I will readily admit that they also made some really dreadful songs. However, about halfway through the review, which consisted mostly of reasons why he thought Queen were not very good, the critic stated that Freddie Mercury possessed "a very average rock voice, bordering on bland at times". It then became difficult to take the rest of the review seriously, or indeed anything else he wrote.
Christ we know you were at the game - you announced it to the world earlier this week. Do you want a badge? You’re a wind-up merchant, plain & simple, who’s been well & truly found out today. The game’s up....
Well the forward and Prem loanee from the Chelsea under 18s, with 1 goal to his name. Looks way out of his depth to me..
It's all opinions of course, but for me we were struggling in the second half in part because the current Chelsea loanee (Ugbo) was struggling with the physicality of Burton's defenders. The loan target man role is not his game. I'm not saying that makes him a bad player before anyone starts, just saying that's not his role. When Bradshaw (the ex Walsall player) and Moncur (the former Colchester man) came on the momentum swung our way. Bradshaw is physically stronger and was able to maintain possession and bring Isgrove into the game more effectively. The lesson here is that they all bring something different to the team, and each will play an important part over the season depending on the style of team were up against. As for Yiadom, I thought he had a poor game by his standards last night. He got skinned a couple of times in the first half but did get better as the game went on. Would McCarthy have played better a right back last night ... probably. But, having watched Andy Yiadom last season, I'll judge him over that whole period. He's an excellent, versatile player and any sustained negativity towards him is frankly nonsense.
Must be nice to have no life, job or responsibility. How about you praise Hecky for a winning team selection and tactics?
I hope you are aware that you can't say anything negative about Yiadom and if you do it's because you have a vendetta against him. It can't because you actually turn up to games 90% on here to actually have a fecking opinion.
Id except the Ugbo .. one up front is not his game.. slant, if he'd ever been influential in a 2... Championship is too high a level for Ugbo... Not picking on the lad or having a go... just my opinion that at present he is not good enough..
But you do have a vendetta against him, amongst others. Lots of us go to lots of games, but we don't feel that we can be twatttish towards our own fans or players and manager on such a regular basis. It's about time you started being a team player rather than dribbling up blind alleys.
