We always had a good home record against Oxford and they have a better quality of fans 'allegedly' !!
Didn't see anything with the seats but saw a bit of commotion at the end at the front of the stand. Not sure what it was about. Thought the Millwall fans were very quiet all day and there were less police about than for the Blackpool match, bizarre. Re the JPT Final if we progress, I hope no one is put off going due to Millwall's reputation, they do turn out in numbers for Wembley games but I certainly wouldn't feel intimidated.
Some are, certainly. I think Millwall are a unique club and a lot of their fans are the kind of old-fashioned, loyal supporters that are all too rare in today's modern game. Spent a bit of time with a couple of their fans last time we visited the Den and their views on the game and life mirrored a lot of what Barnsley fans generally say. But due to the exploits of the 70's/80's/90's, Millwall attract anyone south of the Thames who fancies some aggro at the weekend. Clearly a fair chunk of their fans revel in their reputation, although I tend to think even this is over-hyped simply because it's Millwall. I think a lot of their support enjoy playing on the 'no one like us' mentality, which probably fuels some of the tension at games. Shame really because the proper Millwall fans have a loyalty, identity and character few clubs can match.
I mentioned 30k incase they only get around that many. But if they get given as many as 40k I reckon they will sell them. We've already made the long trek there before in two games of bigger significance so would be surprised if we take more than 20k.
Plus most of our fans now know that Wembley is a crap soulless stadium with **** facilities in an absolute shithole town
Well said my friend. your last sentence is right on the money. Terrific characters with a heart of gold
