Like your comment . That seems to be happening with a lot of the players , the 'digs ' seem to be re-directed away from Johnson and more at the players ....have we forgot what a poor manager he is or is all forgiven because we won 1 match ????????.
That's because it only shows Smiths mistake in the highlights. At which point the goal could have still been prevented. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
The problem with watching highlights is that it gives you an unbalanced view. Smith didn't cover himself in glory but Mawson and Bree were equally culpable. He had an average game and will improve but no worse than say experienced pro Long who gets himself sent off therefore killing any chance of us getting back in the game. That's what makes it look petty and indicative rather than a balanced view.
"hes a young lad, he will get better as time passes and he gains experience and greater skills." We could say the same about Johnson, but he is not learning from mistakes and certainly his managerial skills are no better. More loans anyone to cover the loans who will be absent on Saturday for one reason or another? George Smith has potential from what I have seen of him but being in a losing team is not ideal for one's development
The first goal where the centre halves have overloaded right leaving smith exposed centrally, ..... and where Davies lets a scuffed shot straight through his legs? Ah yes.... obviously best to scapegoat a young kid who couldnt do much more in that incidence.
Looked to me he was trying to hold thr striker from turning or playing ball sqaure to the right winger who was on his own while his defensive colleagues and midfield dynamos all flocked around the ball lile a fly and ****. Yes smith wasnt strong enough however t was his team mates failings that lead to the opportunity. Id be more concerned about mawson getting done ib the air. Again.
