Nothing is mentioned of it? The reason is because I've already stated I didnt notice it. Trust me, I'm not on some agenda against Collins. Every club does it, used to feel a lot more than what we did, so when I first started taking note we did it more often, I was quite happy. Now though, it's beyond a joke. Especially with 20+ minutes left and with very slender leads. Probably scares me more with how many late goals we conceded last season!
We started at it the moment we scored. Thomas and Marsh purposely took ages getting back into our half to delay the kick off too.
Perhaps to break some momentum that they were building up, as someone has already said, it’s game management. Standing in front of the ball for example at free-kicks happens throughout the game not just in the last few minutes. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve heard at the match and seen posts on here about our naivety in not seeing games out (myself included). Yesterday we saw the game out and time- wasting/game management was used by both teams, yet only ours is criticised
Yep and I totally understand the why. Just this notion that until we went ahead that Cheltenham hadn’t been trying this on. I imagine it’s what we will do away from home too. Effectively that was Michael Duffs old team playing his style.
