It’s great to see, early signs are all very good. I just hope the positivity that surrounds him currently stays (or at least doesn’t get too diminished) when we hit a sticky patch.
Would agree with everything the OP said. A few other things that were good today (not just on the field): - Stendel seemed to kick every ball from the touchline. Was great to see a coach so animated. I really thought it looked like an extremely risky appointment, at least from the outside but after pre-season and today it's looking like it might be inspired. (I know, I know don't get carried away) - We seemed to be fitter, and have a plan today something which seemed to be lacking under the previous head coach. - Can't remember when we last really dominated like that. Particularly that first half performance. - Great to see a decent turn out. Hopefully, they'll all be back next game after watching that. Be good to see the club offer an incentive to those that didn't commit to a season ticket this year but went today to sign up off the back of a good performance like that. - After the talk this week about how we don't usually get a good result first game of the season that win and performance tasted particularly sweet - Was good to be back behind the bar in Redfearn's today. A good craiq with a great bunch of lads (and lass) - Good to meet Chien Lee, Paul Conway and GG when they came in for a drink pre-match. Had a brief chat with the CEO which was interesting. Hopefully going to get Daniel Stendel to a Trust meeting to do the presentation of how he wants us to play followed by a Q&A (He presented this to the board and players already). -Ponte end artwork looks cracking. From a personal point of view, a really enjoyable day. I've been feeling a bit down in the dumps on and off the last couple of weeks. Can't quite put my finger on one particular thing and it's pretty unlike me but anyway it's been good and great to read all the positive stuff on here tonight.
